Summer is coming!!! This pair from Lewis Wines should be on the ready in your fridge. Swim spot is a refreshing blend of Albariño and Blanc du Bois, a grape developed to thrive in the Texas climate and to resist the deadly Pierce’s disease. The 2016 Parr Mourvèdre Rosé is simply delicious and packed with summer fruit flavors. Mourvèdre is showing up all over Texas as a varietal well suited to the terroir and producing quality reds, Rosés and blends. The grape originated in Spain and was there called Monastrell. It made its way to Southern France where it became the M in GSM blends of the Southern Rhône Valley. Expect ripe red and black fruits with spicy notes when tasting this newcomer to the Texas wine scene
