Wine Events of the Week–Austin Apr. 24 to May 1, 2019

  • It’s Italian Cucina–Hosts Tour di Veneto Tasting on Thursday, April 25, 2019, from 5 to 7 PM.  Enjoy a free tasting of Italian wines on the patio.  This week will feature a Prosecco, a Rosé and a red blend all from the Veneto region.
  • The Wine and Food Foundation of Texas–Hosts The Lure of the Loire on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 6 to 7:30 PM.  Join Rania Zayyat and Chris Kelly of Vintel  for a guided tasting of low intervention Loire Valley wines that they learned about on their recent trip to the region.  Tickets are $40 for members and there is a waitlist for non-members available here
  • Jenna’s Asian Kitchen–Hosts Spring Wine and Food Tasting on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 7 to 9 PM.  Enjoy five selections from the kitchen paired with wine tastings.  Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased here
  • Wine For the People and Rioja Wine USA–Host Rioja Texas Month Celebration: Seminar + Tasting at Noah Marion on Friday, April 26, 2019 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.  Enjoy a welcome wine followed by a short seminar on Rioja Wines by brand ambassador Ana Fabiano.  After the seminar, a walkaround tasting of 8 to 10 Rioja wines will be presented.  Tickets are $25 and available here.
  • The Austin Wine Merchant–Hosts a free tasting in the shop every Saturday from 12 to 3 PM.  Highly recommended to expand your wine knowledge.
  • The Rotten Bunch Wine Bar–Hosts Rosés of the World Wine Class on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 2:30 to 4 PM.  Join Danelia DaSuta, DipWSET of Sekt Consulting to guide you through a tasting of rosés of the world.  Tickets are $35 and available here
  • Long Play Charcuterie–Hosts Salumi Pairing on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 4 to 5:30 PM. Join Sam Hovland of Sammelier Services to guide you through a pairing of cured meat dishes and selected wines.  Tickets are $75 each and available here.
