Falvo’s in Flight

This is perhaps the prettiest rosé I have ever seen. The beautiful cherry color gives the wine its name. Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo is the rosé wine of the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC. Gently pressed Montepulciano grapes are left on the skins for a short bit and then fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel. The nose on this wine bursts with strawberries, cherries and watermelon and it tastes of jolly ranchers of the three fruits while ending in a slightly bitter almond note. The body is full enough to stand up to heavier fish such as salmon, charcuterie or even pizza. Cheers! 🍷🍷🍷
