Wine Events of the Week-Austin June 7 to June 14, 2017

  • III Forks–hosts a monthly wine tasting on Wednesday June 7, 2017 from 5-7 PM at the downtown location.  $25 per person for a tasting of six South African wines and small bites.
  • Fixe–hosts Biale Vineyards Daily Social Tasting on Thursday June 8, 2017 from 5-7 PM.  Tickets are $10 and available in link (make a reservation and include note that you will be staying for Biale tasting).  Tres Goetting, Napa Valley enologist and viticulturist, will lead the wine tasting.  Complimentary small bites will be offered and there will be special pricing on featured wines by the bottle.
  • It’s Italian Market–hosts a FREE tasting every Friday evening from 6-8 PM.
  • The Austin Wine Merchant–hosts a free tasting every Saturday from 12-3 PM in the shop.  Sign up for their mailing list to receive regular updates.  Highly recommended to expand your wine knowledge.
  • Backbeat–hosts National Rosé Days on Saturday June 10 and Sunday June 11, 2017 with all glasses of rosé $2 off and bottles 25% off.
  • Italic–hosts Italian winemaker, Giampaolo Venica for a FREE tasting of his white wines in the café from 4:30-6 PM on Wednesday June 14, 2017.  All bottles of wine from Friuli, a wine region in Northeast Italy known for its quality white wines, will be offered at HALF OFF in the restaurant starting at 5 PM.
  • Emmer & Rye–hosts a Wine and Food Foundation of Texas tasting on Wednesday June 14, 2017 from 5:30-7 PM.  Three wines will be sampled and appetizers served.  Tickets are available in the Wine and Food Foundation link for $40.
